Today I’m discussing my second build after starting Path of Exile 3.21 League, it’s a building with a high crit skill, CoC Eye of Winter Saboteur.
CoC Eye Of Winter Saboteur With Triggerbots
Saboteur is back with two nice vantage points for critical hits as well. The first one will give you 30% cooldown recovery, which makes the 52% required to get the breakpoint pretty easy to hit. We get level 5 crit from that Awakened Cast with nodes 30% and 22%.
The second advantage node is that the player will get a Triggerbot and POE Currency. We basically have two Triggerbots to cast the spell you trigger, so the spell triggers twice and costs twice as much mana. We have to focus on maintaining mana for good.
Since Triggerbots are minions, they can sometimes lag a bit behind, but that’s not really a problem. Because this Eye of Winter and Frostbolt has a very wide coverage area, and the obvious effect is very good. So I will focus more on making this build a good mapper. Players only need to release Cyclone uninterruptedly, and occasionally place Vortex, basically easily kill all enemies on the field.
Also, it’s important to get a good defense so we can take some hits. Since Cyclone is a melee skill after all, we need to get some defense, so we basically don’t die on every map.
Gear’s Choice
CoC Eye of Winter Saboteur as an in-game building has additional info on cooldown recovery rates and breakpoints in that Path of Building notes section. Things you need to know include map mods, Pantheon and some other gear.
Body Armors
Speaking of gear, the first thing you should acquire is your Body Armours. Then you will get six-links, which is a very good crit weapon, and will enhance Cyclone’s crit damage. Because it’s a one-shot attack, the damage done by Frenzy Charges and additional Curses on hit is also excellent. Here are the three most important stats.
Of course, you want to gain life and anything you can get, including items that increase resistance. If you can buy POE Currency to upgrade your Body Armor, it will give your defense a tremendous boost.
Helmets
Another is a major upgrade to the helmet. You need a Blizzard Crown for Cold Damage and Cold Resistance. Once under the dual effects of Power Charges and nearby enemies, your Cold Resistance is also reduced. Regarding other stats, like while casting Elemental Damage, you also gain Crit, Spell Suppression and Health.
But neither the helmet nor Body Armors that this build requires equipping are expensive. I recommend you can use 3 Divine Orbs on your Body Armours. The helmet is also 3 Divine Orbs. This is really cheap because it also has no Enchantments, and if you need to use Enchantments, you may need to buy Divine Orbs twice.
Body Armors have additional Curses, because you get Curses on both of your rings. One is Elemental Weakness, and the other is Frostbite. This is the most important statistic. Then there’s any other data you can get, including Resistances, Accuracy, stats in Intelligence, Dexterity or Strength.
Amulets
And you also have an open Prefix where you can do Crafting. Because Crafting is very important, it can help us reduce mana consumption. Since we have trigger bots, basically all abilities trigger twice, so our mana cost is also doubled. So reducing mana cost and POE Currency buy in advance is important for this build.
Players can try Crafting on Rings and Amulets. Smeared Anoint on Amulets increases Power Charges and even increases your critical chance and health. At the same time, the Resistances built after use and Accuracy of Amulets will become very good.
Shields
For our shield, you need to get tier 1 Spell Suppression, it’s important. Because it’s a prerequisite for lots of Suppression and a good quality of life, as well as any high attack speed, Suffixes for Resistances. Getting a good passive can add Armor and Evasion to us, if possible.
Boots
Then there is Boot. I chose a very simple pair of Boots, which have decent stats in Movement, Suppression and Resistances and Life.
A decent Enchantment can also be very useful on Boot, and it’s not that hard to get. You need to get Attack Speed, Accuracy, Chaos Resistance or Suppression, three of the four Suffixes. Then Prefix, if you have Life here and you can have an open Prefix, maybe you can get some nice items. Adding a level 1 AOE and placing your Auras here during the cast of the effect will multiply your damage.
Weapons
Finally, for weapons, pick Cospri’s Malice just to get a good passive skill tree. It increases damage output, but it’s also more expensive, which isn’t ideal. But luckily I can maintain mana balance now, and Accuracy is very good. And I have Mana Leech, I have attack damage as one of Mana Leech’s avenues.
Cospri’s Malice’s optimal skill tree requires players to lower their attribute requirements. You can get 20% or 30% cooldown regen, which will make it easier to equip, and have much lower Intelligence and Dexterity requirements.

Passive Skill Tree
We are running a double cluster setup and Blanketed Snow is the most important node. Blast-Freeze is brilliant. Your Freezes, Spreads and Medium Clusters all come with critical hits. Double damage pressure points, attack speed and movement speed are still good for a quick escape.
We also have some rare jewels that help us gain lives, critical hits, and anything else you can get your hands on. Watcher’s Eye is important, but Hatred crit is probably the more expensive item in the build than what we did with Forbidden Flame and Forbidden Flesh combo.
Unstable Infusion is actually quite cheap and only requires a Divine Orb, which helps us get extra Power Charges and Power Charges on critical strikes. This means we don’t have to Power Charges on crit support in our Cospri’s Malice setup.
So I can run GMP in my case. Anyway, my budget is about 22-25 Divine Orbs, but you don’t need to spend that much to have a decent build that can do a level 16 map.
I’ll keep investing to see how far I can push the build and keep sharing a nice building with you guys. That’s all for this time. Hope you all have a great time.
