Look at a whole other side of England that may not come to mind as fast as London does, but still has quite a bit to enjoy.

First things first, Newcastle is the place to be if you look for new food spots to fall in love with.

After trying out the plethora of savory restaurants, there are plenty of concert halls and art galleries in Newcastle, along with nightlife emporiums and top-notch hotels to lay your head in after absorbing the city’s sights, sounds, and smells.

With all that being said, let’s now dive into eight must-see locations in Newcastle that your trip won’t be complete without paying a visit.

    Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art

The Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art happens to be an old flour mill that has been reconfigured into a modern art gallery that opened its doors to the public in 2002 and is known for programming fantastic art exhibits and performances.

Baltic is located on Gateshead quayside with 600 square metres of exhibition space and the pleasure of welcoming in guests free of charge, all year round artist talks and activities.

Since the day it was first established, Baltic has been visited by over 8 million since its opening, Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art has had over eight million visitors, and you can be added to the night during your trip.

The Biscuit Factory is a contemporary commercial gallery, but if art isn’t your thing, you need to come here anyway just to sample its fancy brunch menu.

Sage Gateshead is more than just a cool looking building, but it is also the place to arrive for world-class music, from jazz and blues to classic and folk.

    Live Theatre

Let the good times roll at this Quayside theatre for events that range from theatre to stand-up.
