The Investigation Unfolds
Players initiate their journey by speaking to Noah or Alina at the eastern side of Varrock Square, behind Eliza’s stall. Alina provides information about the impending arrival of a delegation from the Kingdom of Varlamore, which paves the way for the quest’s progression through a captivating cutscene.
The Varlamorian delegation includes notable figures such as Prince Itzla Arkan, Servius, Teokan of Ralos, Furia Tullus, Ennius Tullus, and six Knights of Varlamore. Meanwhile, a seemingly suspicious guard carrying a large bag departs from the walls of the Varrock Palace. Curiosity leads players to tail this guard discreetly.
The Pursuit of Suspicion
The pursuit of the suspicious guard takes players through the streets of south-east Varrock, with the guard periodically turning around. Players must strategically position themselves behind buildings to avoid being spotted. If detected, players can seek guidance from Noah and restart the pursuit.
After successfully tailing the guard, players witness a revealing cutscene in which bandits plot an attack on the delegation as they depart.
Uncovering the Plot
Returning to Varrock Square, players report their findings to Sergeant Tobyn, who promptly apprehends the bandits off-screen. Players are then taken to the palace roof for interrogations. Unexpectedly, Prince Itzla makes an appearance, expressing his boredom with politics and offering assistance with the interrogations.
A compelling cutscene unfolds as Prince Itzla interrogates one of the captured bandits, with players providing support. The bandit quickly divulges that they were approached by an unknown individual, potentially from Varlamore, with orders to assassinate Servius, Teokan of Ralos.
Upon the successful completion of the quest, Prince Itzla expresses gratitude and rewards players with special permission to visit Varlamore when the kingdom opens its doors to foreigners. He encourages players to return in the future to aid in the ongoing investigation of the assassination attempt.
Quest Complete: Rewards Await
Completing “Children of the Sun” yields not only a quest point but also access to Varlamore once it becomes accessible. The quest promises to be the first of many adventures in this captivating new region.
As the doors to Varlamore prepare to open, “Children of the Sun” invites players to embark on an unforgettable journey in 2024 and beyond, making it a must-play quest for OSRS enthusiasts.
